East Potomac Golf Links White Course eighth green behind a wide fronting bunker, Washington Monument to the right.

The East Potomac White Course is the public 9-hole executive course at Hains Point. It’s as easy a walk as you’ll find, and among the cheapest rounds in the area. Originally the E-F Course, it opened in 1925 as a William Flynn design, a wide-open complement to Walter Travis’ Blue Course next door. The layout has been rebuilt more than once and its conditions trail the Blue, but the White provides interesting greens and mounding. The players who don’t write it off will enjoy some fun, short, gettable par 4s.
