Course Overview
The Lakes Course
Opened in 1967 and later redesigned by renowned architect Denis Griffiths, the Lakes Course plays to a par 72 and stretches just under 6,700 yards. It features wider fairways and a more forgiving layout, making it an ideal choice for higher-handicap players or those who prefer a more open setup. The course still offers enough length and strategic challenges to keep experienced golfers engaged throughout the round.
The Oaks Course
Designed by Denis Griffiths and opened in 1998, the Oaks Course offers a more technical test. Measuring roughly 6,710 yards from the back tees, this par-71 layout is heavily tree-lined, with 56 bunkers, seven water hazards, and three forced carries. Precision is paramount here, and its smaller, undulating greens place a premium on approach shots and short game control.
Practice Facilities & Amenities
Twin Lakes provides robust practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and short game area. A teaching professional is available for lessons. Rentals such as power carts and clubs are available, and walking is permitted across both courses. The facility operates year-round, with peak season typically running April through October.
Value & Player Feedback
Twin Lakes is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions and strong overall value. With green fees often under $80, it remains one of the best-priced public golf experiences in the region. Golfers consistently note the quality of maintenance, the contrast between the two course layouts, and the welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you’re looking for a forgiving round or a shot-making challenge, Twin Lakes Golf Course delivers a memorable experience in a convenient, scenic setting.
